Tip Transparency
We value transparency and fairness in our tipping philosophy. Here’s how we distribute your tips internally:
All tips received go to our staff. Any fees associated with tips made via credit card are paid for by Still Point Wellness.
Front Desk Team:
Our front desk works as a harmonious team often sharing and juggling many responsibilities at once with one another. Tips for Float and Sauna services are therefore pooled and shared among the front desk team. The distribution is based on the hours each team member has worked.
Massage Therapists:
Tips for Esalen Massage are not pooled, each therapist receives the full tip on their session individually. For couples massages, tips are split evenly between the two therapists providing the service.
Multiple Services:
When clients pair another service like a float or a sauna session with an Esalen Massage, (Ex: Mind/Body Exploration Package) tips are allocated based on the cost of each service. This ensures fair distribution between the front desk team and the individual massage therapist.
Custom Tip Distribution:
If you would like your tip to be distributed in a different way than according to our policy above, we are happy to accommodate your preferences. Please let the front desk team know at checkout.
