Experiential learning classes will enable students to develop a balance between technique, intuition, and creativity. Each day we will move through different areas of the body focusing on a variety of techniques to address muscle tension, body holding patterns, and injury. Our study of massage technique is augmented through applied anatomy, awareness practices, methods of self-care, and communication skills.

This training is designed to be deeply transformational and will give you tools for awakening your senses and bringing more awareness to your massage practice and your life. It is for certified massage & bodywork practitioners wanting to deepen their bodywork practice and add the Esalen approach to their work.

This course is structured into 3 three-day modules and 7 four-hour classes, spanning over a duration of 10 weeks. This format is ideal for those who live locally and would like to complete this course over a period of time without needing to take and extended period of time away from work.

This is a private event for practicing massage therapists who have completed a minimum of 12 hours of Esalen massage training. When you arrive you can select someone to trade with, or come with partner. We will begin with a brief introduction circle and then move into an Esalen massage trade in a group setting. We will provide massage tables, light snacks and tea, please bring your own sheets and oil.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other Esalen massage therapists in the area, receive bodywork, and build our community.
