Specialized Esalen Massage®

Big Sur, CA - prices start at $675

This workshop presents the specialized moves and strokes of Esalen Massage — from the intentional, long, integrating strokes to the gentle rotations/twists, to the more defined, detailed moves that are essential to the Esalen Massage practice — with an emphasis on the pelvic floor, torso, abdomen, and lower back. The instruction will take place through plenty of demonstrations, movement exercises, and hands-on class time.

The essence of Esalen Massage flows organically from the fundamentals of presence, breath, and quality of touch, making this approach an integrating and healing form of massage. This workshop will teach these aspects that make Esalen Massage unique. The instructors will also demonstrate an array of self-care and movement practices essential to the maintenance plan for the massage practitioner.

This workshop is designed for both established bodyworkers and novices, and for anyone who wants to learn to touch and be touched with love, respect, and care.
